Alex Peace qualified in 2002 from Brunel University, London as a Chartered State
Registered Physiotherapist. Since then, she has worked extensively in the NHS, in
a variety of specialties including Cardiac Surgery, Medicine, Neurology, Adult Learning
Difficulties, Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal conditions. She then gained a Masters
Degree in Sport and Exercise Medicine from the University of Nottingham in 2011 and
currently works within Sports Medicine, assessing and treating sports people ranging
from the recreational to the elite and London 2012 Olympians.
Alex has been involved in several research papers including leading an innovative
project into “The Effect of Ankle Taping in Netballers”. She has also worked alongside
Foot and Ankle Surgeons to assess the effect of a Physiotherapy protocol on a common
ankle condition, Tibialis Posterior Dysfunction. The protocol was designed, produced
and delivered by Alex and demonstrated a significant reduction in the number of patients
going on to have Orthopaedic surgery. Alex’s Physiotherapy skills are driven by
the latest research and her practice is based on the most up to date evidence.
